I need to buy plain old Remington Core-Lokt ammo... I have checked Academy over here in my neck of the woods and they don't stock it.. any advice would be great..

One of the main reasons I did not like 7mm08. Choices in ammo at common store. Finding WSM ammo is way easier than 7m08. jmo

For a while they had tons of it. Last few months I hadn't been able to find squat. The local Gander Mountain had plenty although it was an additional $5/box. Last time I checked midwayusa.com had some but thats been a while back.

midland tx has some but it is $32 a box
walmart also has the same box for $17 a box

Academy does carry it, we have just been having a hella time getting any core-lokts from Remington since they ran the rebate program on the stuff in the 4th quarter last year. I know our store had the Federal Fusion forever but we finaly sold out last week. You might check the usual online spots or some actual gun shops around your area and if all else fails hit up the BPS in Grapevine.

I am having the same problem. I checked the Lewisville Academy again yesterday and they have the same 1 box of Winchester BST and 8 boxes of Fusions. Looks like I am going to have to pay a premium for some Core Lokt's.

I had to buy mine on-line.
Buying 7mm-08 local is like finding a needle in the haystack.
I wish I would have just stuck with another .308.......

Check Walmart in Hickory Creek. Had at least 10 boxes on the shelf as of yeasterday, buy all you want, I stocked up mounths ago. $22.96 I think.

Mckinny Academy has 4 boxes, north ft worth has 2.

I shoot Federal Fusion 140 grain out of mine. Academy seems to always have them in stock and they perform well.
