i just got an sks on a trade, and it came with a muzzle break, but had not be installed yet. it seams like it is just a little to small to fit around the barrell, do you just have to hammer it on or is it probly the wrong size?!?!

it may not be the right m.b. for your firearm. . .
the Yugo sks's have a grenade-launcher type device
in place already, maybe that's what you have (?)

find someone that knows what's going on to show
your firearm to and DO NOT hammer on it

an sks can be fieldstripped for the most part without
tools,and a hammer isn't one of them

i guess i should have not used the word hammer. the muzzle break fits on the barrel tight, and im wondering if i should tap it on with like a rubber mallet or something...

You must weigh about 90 lbs. If you need a muzzle brake on that thing.

But in seriousness you'll most likely have to have the barrel threaded; which would cost more than the gun is worth.

A muzzle brake for an SKS makes no sense. Are you sure it's not a flash suppressor?
Either way I wouldn't bother to install it. Turn it into a paper weight and go shoot the SKS as is.

To be sure of hitting the target, shoot first and call whatever you hit the target.

Winner!

Dressing up an SKS in Tacticool is a waste of $$$. If you want an EBR, there are far better choices out there.
