I have been looking for a scope for my new Remington 700, 7mm MAG. I had considered the Nightforce, Leupold LRT and Zeiss. Because of the price of the above mentioned, I was scaling back on features.

A friend suggested that I at least consider an Explore Optics scope. I have spoken to the owner and made a trek over to Docs' in Carrolton as he carries them. I must say that so far I am very impressed!

I was wondering if anyone here had any experience and/or opinions about these scopes.

Any feedback is appreciated, feel free to send a PM if you prefer.

PS.. I'm looking at the 6-24x50/30mm Tube with an illuminated mil-dot reticle and the tactical turrets.

My brother has one on his .270 and he likes it. I'm looking to get one for my Browning 7mag as well. Just gotta figure out which one.

I spoke with the "owner" and just was not to convincing to me. I would really look at other options before spending any money. Just my .02

I have a brand new one in the box that I'll never use because Im a bow hunter that I would sell somebody for $325. Its a 4x16x50 in the 30mm tube with the Tactical target turrets, mil dot, and illuminated retical.

You might check with tthame1 I know he bought one last year and seem to like it. He is pretty knowledgable about optics.

What scope did you get? I went to the Gun Show in Irving today and bought a 4-16x50mm SF 30mm Tube with the capped Target Turret and Red Illuminated Mil-Dot Reticle. I looked at several different scopes, including the Millett, and this thing just was perfect for "me" I turned it up to 12x and could read the letters on the power panel across the room very clear. Others I tried were fuzzy. I can't wait to try it in the field

Have you thought about the Vortex PST?

I purchased a 6-24X50mm SF, 30mm Tube,Illuminated Mil-Dot Explore Big Bore Scope (Capped Target Turret) a couple of years ago and mounted it on my Remington 300 Win Mag and am very pleased with the scope. I have not had any problems at all. I have several other higher priced (big name scopes) that the Explore can compare to. I had Explore Optics replace the slot screws with allen head screws on the adjustment knobs so I could sight the rifle in at 100 yards and then set the adjustment knobs to 0 for easy MOA adjustments when shooting at long range targets.
The higher price Explore Optics binoculars are awsome to say the least.
