Have any of y'all bought a pistol on-line at places like gunbroker.com? They seem to have some guns at very reasonable prices but not sure how much is added on, or who I'm buying from is honest. Also, how do you set it up to have them shipped to a dealer? Do I just call a local dealer and set it up with them?

Any advice would be appreciated, even negative comments are helpful. Should I stay away from this type of purchase? Thank you in advance for your time.

I've bought off of gunbroker and I've bought from Bud's. It's a pretty easy process. Find an FFL in your area, contact him, and have him fax his FFL info the seller. The seller will ship it to him, and then you'll go pick it up and pay a small fee. My guy charges $10. If you tell us where you are there are probably some folks on here who can recommend an FFL for you.

The shipping fees on gunbroker are usually fairly steep. Bud's shipping prices are included. If it's a new gun, make sure you check budsgunshop.com before you buy.

I am free for occasional purposes, $10 for repetitive people.

I also prefer to have a chance to meet or beat the price on the piece coming in, I think others would too. Seems to be professional courtesy... "hey man, I can get a Kimber SIS for $400 from BUFFS Guns..." I'd tell you to go ahead........

yeah nice to see guys charging a resonable price for FFL transfers, theres one pawn shop here in huntsville that will do them for $25.00 but I dont like using them because the guy who owns the place doesnt no jack about ATF laws. Actually had to call the ATF and have an agent call him and tell him

"your wrong, tranfer the gun to him!"

Then there is always AbleAmmo.....who wants $60.00

No sales tax and shipping is free. I have bought 3 guns from them with no problems. I would get the insurance for 5 bucks, I have heard a couple stories about having guns not showing up and people not having the insurance and being hung out to dry. Just letting you know. I pay 20 bucks for FFl transfer.
