After dragging in just before six, I can honestly say I hunted as much as I wanted to last night.

We hunted hard all night and got several in one group. It was a thrilling hunt and included a flashlight recovery with shotguns through knee high brush. Fortunately we found him dead about 20 yards into the thicket, but it was very intense as we followed the blood trail.

These hogs are crop destroyers. While I hunt them for sport, Rance exterminates them without mercy. They are disposed of in accordance with the landowner's wishes.

I don't keep track of the count, but Rance does for control reports to the farmers.

p-o-r-k-i-e-s.org will take the meat. We just did an aerial hunt north of Abilene and took 27; netted 4000 lbs of meat for the needy.

If someone wants directions to a pile of shot up hogs, that's one thing. If someone wants skinned and gutted hogs delivered, that's unlikely. It's hard enough for me to drag my sorry butt back in time to get to work by 8 o'clock after an all nighter. How does your porkie program work? BTW 4,000 lbs from 27 hogs is a pretty good turnout.

Rance,
I'm still haunted by the screams of the hogs YOU SHOT. All mine were DRT, ha, ha...not a sound smile.

Rance's numbers are conservative. Many times we don't find the babies if they fall between rows. Rance found two like that yesterday morning that didn't make the night photo. Before anyone starts ragging on us for killing babies, remember these hogs are hitting farmers in the pocket.
