Was just curious if any small-tract landowner's, say 300 acres or less, are currently a part of, or have had any success with co-opping with your neighbors for the betterment of the hunting. I'm saving like mad to buy a place of my own one of these days but its likely I'll never have more than about 150 - 200 acres. Just curious if it's do-able or a waste of time. The co-op thing I mean.

I talked to the wildlife guy in the area today and he talked to me about it, he said that it can work very well as long as you have all land owners doing the same part. we just bought a place 340 acres and he was telling me that we needed to check with our neighbors and see about it, i think we might.

they work good if everyone is on the same page.

in alot of texas (mainly the original AR Counties) a 200 acre place is quite big, so there are co-ops everywhere.

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

we are set up that way inside a 2,000 acre high fence.

we have a landowners association and wildlife mgmt practices that are part of the ownership agreement.

it is a fun setup, but does require a lot of communication compared to a normal setup. but we dont have to worry about the neighbor shooting all the young bucks...

Stuff my dad said in the deer blind

"I can dive deeper and come up drier"
"did you do that?"
