I was told the deer hit by the Jetta scored in the mid 180's and had some of his antlers broken off in the wreck.

There are alot of big deer all across that area. I just hope they keep moving west. My place isn't 25 miles from there.

They thought it might go in the 180 with out the broken tines but pretty sure as is it didn't break 170.

I live 5 miles from there.

I got the info from a Game Warden, but could have misunderstood. It's been a few months.

Sabre employee here..... There is deer sign all over the place. Rarely see them during the day. The pigs were out at noon & 5pm on Tuesday. Used to see turkeys regularly. They have bugged out! Just hope our neighbors can let 'em grow like this at our lease.

There is a huge 12 point of the north side of the lake in Flower Mound. Neighbors property backs up to the corps and he has been feeding him for 2 years. I know - worthless without pics! I'll see if he has some.

I live across the street from where the video was taken. It's funny to see those deer standing in the middle of the Verizon building parking lot. It just looks out of place. They cross Dove road at night to feed in a small wheat/rye grass field.

Talk about timing. Saw this post on Friday at lunch.... On the way out the gate on Friday night, there he was with 4 other deer just moving through a lane in the woods at a range of 40 yards..... GREAT looking buck!!!!

The buck that was hit by the car was actually just down the road from Sabre. It was near Dove Loop which is a long was from Gaylord. Maybe there was also one by Gaylord but I have pictures of the one a Dove Loop.

There are some beast's in Tarrant/Denton/Parker/Wise counties.

I wonder how long it will be before some idiot temps fate and road hunts these guys. As stated before it would not be a good idea as Soutlake PD is quick to respond.

I talked to the guard at the shack on the grapevine corp lands and one monster 20+ point was crossing with does every morning in the no hunt area on the COE land. Sounds like it might be on that you guys are talking about. I hear of some real big deer in that area. Heard one was killed a few years ago right there that was in the 180's.

Someone has tried to hunt these deer. He was going in at night and hunting. Supposedly had climbing stands seat up and everything. I guess he discounted the fact that someone would be suspicious of his actions. Game wardens were called by Verizon employees. They put a stake out on him and busted him. He confessed to deer hunting and even killing a few does. Supposedly showed the wardens game pics of deer he had been watching for several years. Not smart.

about a mile from there

I live in Henrietta and a guy hit one up here a year or two ago and it would have been number two in the world all time

The biggest non-typical buck even recorded by Boone and Crockett was found dead on the side of the road in Kansas. 333 7/8ths.

That's nothing I get at least one every year that scores in that range and higher.

Only in my dreams. LOL. I guess I turely do dream big.
Holly crap Batman. Could you amagine the buck fever one would have seeing something that big though your scope.

If I'm not hunting something I must be dead.

I think I saw him this morning in the snow on my way in to work.

I've seen deer on Grapevine, (south side) beside the road that goes to Scott's Landing Marina. They're there, and I'm sure a lot more places around the lake. In years past, some nice bucks have been hit by cars on 114 in Irving.
