Ok, let's see if I can make sense of this. I have a 4 x 6 wooden blind. I am going to raise it about 6 feet. I am going to put the Steel Elevator Brackets on it and put 4 x 4 legs into them. What is the best way to stand it upright without breaking anything? Does that kind of make sense?

I will have the same problem. Somehow I plan on getting the blind on edge of my trailer or tailgate. Install two of the legs on the down side. Use my polaris winch with some straps and pull the blind up with the two installed legs digging in on the ground. After the blind is part way up install the other two legs. Have someone on the other side of the blind with a guide rope attched to the blind to keep the blind from falling over to the winch side. Slowly winch it up and with the person on the otherside with the guide rope to keep it from falling over. Hope that makes sense to you.

That will work with few changes, strait loop knot over top stiffened ladder step,, Add top legs first, then raise,, preferably with offset snatch block.(pulley) then add rear legs, Ease off to level, If add rear legs first it is considerable more angle to break over, and more stress at joint.Real heavy might have to go dual ladders or half legs and then longer. ,

Robert has a great way. I had done it before and he reinforced my thoughts.

Just dropped another blind this weekend that way. It's really the easiest way, plus I like assembling/disassembling everything on the ground. Lowering it can be a little more nerve racking if you don't have the back stakes in evenly. The blind will want to twist a bit while coming down, but it still comes down slowly.

In the 110 degree summer heat, we bust out a large pop up canopy, assemble the blind in the shade and then just bring it right up. It really helps to get more work done, when you're not lugging blind pieces up the ladder or working in direct sunlight.

Looks like your raising this one. I've got 2 - 30 foot tall ones that I would like to lay down to repair. Made out of drill pipe and sucker rod. Lots of trees and brush so, getting a truck in the direction to lay down won't work without a dozer 1st. I can do the offset pulley thing. How do you get it started tipping over to come down? popcorn

Use 2 lines/winch cable from truck 1 short(puller),> from rear back up to start it over,,Then the the other slack(lowering) line catches it,(have heavy ladder/aframe strapped in )then drive forward to lower,And stay away from it,If leg snaps they can go anywhere.
If have dozer an cage, chain to legs an lift blade ,should start over? crib it,or tag line from truck will stop it.
