Well I finally got to eat at the "BABE`S" restaraunt in granbury. It reminded me of getting to eat at LUBY`S . I had thier chicken fry and it was just so--so. Mine taste better than thiers and I didn`t have to drive 30 miles and pay 1.75 for tea. I had heard people talk about how good it was , so to say the least I was disapointed. I want to know where all these people have been eating that talk about how good they are. I give them a score of 5 out of a possible 10.

I think the good one is in Burleson and it is their chicken that is supposed to be so good.

Either way though, home cooking is always best.

The corn and greenbeans are the best things there. I don't like the fried chicken at the one in Granbury. Wal-Mart and Brookshire's have better fried chicken. Their catfish is OK, but that is really the only choice for catfish in Granbury.

I think that I have actually had better food from allsups. I worked in the grocery business for 31 years and thier food wasn`t any better than the food from our delis.There were 14 people in our party and it took for ever for them to bring out enough corn, mashed potatoes, green beans and gravy for us because thier bowls were so small.I have eaten way better food at cafe`s at small town sale barns.

For fast food, Chicken E is great and at a good price to. I agree!!

Man yall are nuts chicken e is great but babes is awesome. Sure all of are grand mothers can do better but I love babes.

I think Babes in Burleson is good, and I like Chicken-E most places. The problem with Chicken-E is here in Jacksboro they dont seem to ever change their grease and it taste like its been under the light forever. When you get a good dose of that, it kinda makes a stomach turn whenever you see the sign.

The original Babe's in Roanoke is to die for! If you go, go early, no matter what day of the week, or you will sit outside and wait for 1-2 hours.

I don't know. Like a lot of other things, the original always seems to be best. Once they start growing and copying it, the quality seems to slide. Fried chicken was their thang, not catfish and all this other stuff. The original Babe's in Roanoke was always pretty good. I've eaten at some of the others and found it to be a notch or so down. Like someone else said though, mothers or grandmothers was/is always better.

I would love to get their salad dressing recipe..

Yes, Sir!! As good as Babe's is in Roanoke, I would sometimes get tired of waiting and just go around the corner to the Prairie House restaurant. It was pretty good too!

I did the same thing the third weekend of rifle season!!! Be careful at the sonic to there frys taste like jalepeno and corndog. Jacksboros fine eating establishments need work to say the least. If yall are reffering to the babes that is in garland its awesome.. jmo

I think Babe's is pretty overrated too. I have been twice to the one in Garland and I'd say its mediocre. I don't like the way they do their vegetables and the fried chicken was decent at best. Overrated is the best word to describe Babe's.
