We started doing it on our place last year, burned about 75 acres total in two years, it's addicting once you start to see the results. Let me know if you need some help TB.

Hopefully it didn't do this. The land will come back, your trailer and 4wheeler wont.

I started burning my place a couple of weeks ago. I do it methodically so I don't have to worry about a disaster. It will take me a month to burn 60 acres but it will be done safely.

I have been burning mine for the last few years due to heavy underbrush buildup over the last 70 years. Its really coming together now with each burn. Native grasses are coming back and less weeds every year plus it it way thicker.

I'll tell ya a scary story. We go into a structure fire knowing someone was inside. House was 80% involved when we arrived. Couldn't see nothin. Smoke was terrible from all the garbage in the house and the steam coming of the water/fire. A buddy actually ran into a pool table he never saw.

Unfortunatel we were too late. Subject expired in the fire. Once it was all out and we looked it over. Every room had a 30 gallon propane tank in it for dearborn heaters.

Lucky we didn't all die.

I'm pretty sure the little dime size pop off they have on them is blown out.

Tough luck BIL

But fire is the MOST UNDER USED MANAGEMENT TOOL!

clears out brush, cedars, ticks, and makes the burn sight a fresh food plot.

Only wish it was done more often...with CONTROLED burns

Control burns are by far the cheapest and most effective way to manage under brush and tall grass, without a doubt! Now that we have some rain, its time to burn!

I hope you didn't lose any property in the fire. If its just land, you'll be happy it is in about 3 months when it has beautiful green grass all over it.

I have found it is best to burn after the growth starts. If you burn in the fall or winter you could loose the roots due to freeze.
Just from my experience.
