I need to redo some lines on some of my dekes. I will also be building 1-2 temp blinds at our ponds.
Let me know when you need help doing that stuff! Anybody else, too. Heck would it be bad form to stand on a corner somewhere with a sign written on cardboard box "will work for ducks"???

What do y'all do?
I know I got to
- pattern some shells - clean and store some equipment - rig decoys with clear line instead of the cheap black PVC stuff - now would be the time to scout for a lease since the ducks are still here but I won't have the money this year - keep practicing the calls
Those of you with land, do you tear down your blinds now? Leave them up? I assume you wait to do repairs and other labor until next fall?
I guess I'm wondering how much you do now versus how many of you rest and then pick it all back up when you start jonesing for it again next year. I still didn't see buy a boat in your list. Kelly

Apparently I need to scout my family land down by Wills Point!
Pretty much i have to get the 1187 sent back to Remington and see what the say about the busted chamber.
Work on my calling big time.
And get my dekes setup with the L shaped weights. Those are the best from what I used this season.

we usually do brush blinds which are a pain in the arse. so this year we are gonna try to make some pit blinds because you dont have to make a new blind every time and your under ground so you dont stick out like a sore thumb.also gonna try planting jap millet and rice or milo. cant decide yet

Here's my list so far: 1. Get our new "cheap and lots of it boat" ready for duck season and fishing as well. 2. Change over to rigem' right weights on our decoys. 3. Work on calling somemore. 4. Keep Miley worked out. 5. Buy some BWT decoys. 6. Look at some new mallard and wooduck calls. 7. If my financial situation allows it, look at and buy private land to set up my own private watefowl haven. 8. Clean shotguns 9. More trap and skeet shooting. 10. More pattern testing. I want to try the BC full choke set up with BC ammo and regular ammo. I feel like I am still leaving some things out but this is a start.

To get ready for next season I plan on scouting some farther water holes because these DFW lakes are way overcrowded, this summer I'll have to repaint my kayak, I'm gonna shoot some clays and then shoot some more clays, also I will stock up on steel when it goes on sale. Pretty much I have a few down months of fishing, drinking beer, and finding potential spots while fishing. I think I'll practice shooting my bow too. I see some camp outs in the near future, along with running trotlines and bowfishing.
