Anyone ever had an allergy test done on their dog? Do they even do that? If you've had one done, was it worth the money, and how much was it?
Any help greatly appreciated.

We thought about it for our westie, but then just decided to do an every other day steroid. TAMU did a 20 year study showing little to no negative side effects of an every other day steroid. Our Westie has atopic allergies meaning they can and will change over time so even if we found out what she was allergic to, it would change.

My parents got their GSP tested because she had TERRIBLE allergies. We have her on Allergy shots every week or so. She is so much better now! Yes it was worth the money but Im not sure how much, I think about $300.

Had one of our Vs tested, he had allergy problems that were off the charts. If you do have the shots, you just need to make sure that you stay dilligent with giving them, or you are wasting your time and money.
