I have a 16 RRA ar15 im using 55 gr Nosler balistic tips using 24.5 gr of accurate 2230 anyone else have any info on this powder and bullet im getting a good group at 50 yards but is way off of my black hills ammo in 55 gr fmj and 55 gr soft point which have almost the same point of impact in my rifle.

2230 maxes out at 26.5grs if i remember right. i use it in my fmj 55gr pills at 25gr and its really accurate. i havent even tried it with the ballistic tips i have like yours yet smile. too much fun shooting the FMJs

You may want to increase the powder chg to see if it gets better results for you.

ummmmm, Accurate lists 25 gr as the MAX for the 55 gr Nosler Balistic Tip.
I load 24.4gr with a 55 gr JHP and it works well. I am also loading mil brass which has less volume. The bullets I am using are flat base. Since the Nosler is a boat tail as I recall, it might behave differently. What were your results?
