Would be nice to have the scale actually showing the weight. Largest Giant Canada I actually saw the weight was right at 18 lbs and he was huge!

That's about what I was thinking Kyotee...I know the size ranges and 37 lbs makes no sense. But yes...it is a nice good regardless.

Definitely need to contact U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service on that weight, it would be a record for sure!

In either case, i believe it to be a little (alot) exagerrated.

lol i didn't believe it either. but the guy at sportsman's said it was. i really don't care how much it weighed. total wingspan was wider than my armspread. hit him 5 times before he dropped. i learned a valuble lesson that day. make sure you always have spare shells in reach. regardless of weight, i got a $100 gift card to sportsman warehouse for biggest bird of the season. so, embelishment,yes. scale wrong, probably. beautiful bird, defenitely!

There is absolutely less than zero percent chance that it tipped the scales at 25 lbs, much less 37. A 15 lb. goose is so much bigger than you can imagine, much less 2.5 times that. In fact, folks are always claiming 17-18 lb geese. So much so, that Dropzone decoys did a free dozen fullbodies to the first person who could produce a 15 lb goose. Took 5 seasons before a hunter tipped the scales at 15.3 I believe. And this was a contest run on several different forums for nearly a thousand dollars of decoys. In fact, if i remember correctly, the contest started out as 20 lb goose contest and every year he dropped it a lb. to prove how ridiculous these claims are by hunters.


So, sorry, its a nice goose, but 37 lbs it is not.

yeah jepsen and that is a 37lb bass in your picture as well.

I don't shoot a lot of honkers, but one of the four I did take one this year hit 15.2 on my AWS certified scale. I think it was this one.
