I've been looking for a nice over under shotgun and came across a turkish YILDIZ SPX ME special...nice looking gun, but as we all know it's not the pretty guns that kill the birds so I'm was asking if anyone else out there has shot, is shooting or has any experience with these???

I have a Yildiz 12 gauge, but not the special. It is a great shooting gun. The only thing you may keep in mind is that the gun is extremely light, about 6.5 pounds. As a result, the recoil can be pretty stout with some loads. There is an easy fix though for $30. Limbsaver makes an aftermarket pad (#10702) that fits the gun nicely and makes recoil very easy to handle.

I have had for over a year now. It has been great especially for the money. You hear many people bash it from time to time but i was not able to fork out over $1000 for a nice browning or those other high dollar o/u's. I am sure that it is not as nice as those but I was not expecting it to be for less than 1/2 the price. I am pleased with mine.

thankis UT, I have a limbsaver that I bought when I was sighting in my 30-06. After 25 shots I really needed it. But now that I only shoot it to kill I took it off and have no use for it...till NOW...

I'm waiting till after christmas to go down to Academy to pick one up. I'll be able to use that for the second part of the dove season and give my Mossbegh to my oldest son...who by the way will be dove hunting for the first time EVER...it took me 19 years to get him interested enough!!
