I know this season wasnt for the record books for most of us but at least we got to enjoy the adventures and the outdoors.
I am cutting jerky from my doe I shot saturday. Then I am getting my fishin gear cleaned up and ready for the crappie run. Hope everyone at least had a good time this year!

Even though we didn't see many deer and not one set of legal horns, I had a great season. I hunted more this year than any previous year by probably at least double the hours. This was my 1st year to bow hunt and I shot a spike and my 1st bobcat with my bow. I shot a doe with my rifle and tonight I shot my first hog ever and did it with my muzzleloader. That's a lot of 1st for one season, 1st hog, 1st bobcat, first bow kill, and first muzzleloader kill; And I'm 30 and have been hunting since I was 12. Plus I saw lots of cool things like hawks killing prey and such. On almost every hunt I was reminded why I fell in love with hunting and the outdoors.

I'm very dissapointed in the deer turnout, but in the end I had an awesome season that ill never forget. Now its time to thin the yote population!

It was a great season for me too. I did not take the biggest bucks of my life, but I did get two nice bucks and a doe. Better that that, I spent quality "fellowship" time with great friends at camp. Good food, great company, out in God's country. What could be better?

No such thing as a bad year if you still made it outdoors to hunt or fish at least once.

I know some of you complain about conditions and this and that. Well, that's someone every year. Take someone out hunting that hasn't been and show them what its about.

I just finished taking a kid that had some of the most enthusiam I have ever seen. If every kid in Texas had half the entusiasm inside them as he had, hunting would be around for eternity. It was one of the most rewarding hunts I have ever done.

It was a great season on Spring Creek as well. The only thing that comes close is being anchored on a crappie condo...

Anytime we get to go to the woods or the prairie to deer hunt it's a good year...

Packed up my camo all washed and put away neat, cleaned the deer rifles and have them put away (except that dang carbine that stays in the truck so much, I just cleaned it and put it back)...

Switching to defensive guns and preparedness for the spring, will still turkey hunt a couple of times, but not that fired up about it....

And need to get the trot-line out again...

Great year here! Though I tagged out, the biggest reward is being outdoors and sharing it with others. It makes memories.

I'll be ready for spring turkey, but for now, it's time to get the fishin' gear ready to go. Nothing like a big ol' stringer of crappie or some stripers from Texoma. up

Really bad year for deer at our place but I made the best of it, I hunted more days this year than I've ever hunted and had some good times around camp!

As they say,the worst day hunting is better than the best day at work!

end of season nothing...my seasons last everyday. Always hunting, planning, scouting, going on out of state hunts. Never ends...never

Well, what I mean by that, sir, is... if you was to put me and this here sniper rifle anywhere up to and including one mile of Adolf Hitler with a clear line of sight, sir... pack your bags, fellas, war's over. Amen.--SPR[image]

Well, as much as I enjoy hunting and look forward to next season and what it brings, I also love my family and fishing!

Great season for me. Shot two deer and hunted 3 new places this year.

Can't wait for next year!

But for now, I've got new line on my rods, the trolling motor batteries charged up, and all of my fishing gear neatly stowed in the ole Ranger.

Time to start chasing some large mouth bass, and that sharelunker I've always dreamed about.

No complaints out of me. Had some frustrations like any hunter but wound up with 3 does so my freezer is well stocked. Can't wait to start whackin' and stackin' some more hogs in the coming months!

I had a great time this year. Shot my trophy and a cull buck along with a couple of does. Missed an Axis doe. Also brought home a couple of turkey hens. Saw some very promising bucks for next year. All in all it was a fun & satisfying season.

I am with the others when I say that a bad day out in the field is always better than a good day at work!

I actually had a great season. Got my best buck ever. He wasn't a trophy but was to me. Got a doe for the freezer. Got to go on an awesome Palo Duro Canyon hunt for mulies, whitetail and aoudads and saw some of the best country I've ever been priviliged to tramp around on. And, I found out I've got some pretty decent bucks hanging around my house. I've still got to find a place to whack some hogs.
