Well we put it to them this morning outta the yaks, we shot a pretty good mixed bag, shot our limit by 8:30 but the last duck gave us the slip, trying to retreive a diver can be some work finally we just gave up after chasing him 300 yards and wasting 7 shots at him. Had a blast and the birds worked great all 15-20 yard shots, and my buddy Lane got a nice mountable bufflehead that was his first My buddy got a pic of me in the yak with the birds when we were leaving. I just didnt have room for them anywhere so i just floated them behind me on my hauler.  Heres a few once we got back to the truck.   Closeup on his Butterball

finally we just gave up after chasing him 300 yards and wasting 7 shots at him  Been there, done that!!! Chased a can all over a small lake one day.

Way to go, I love the Yak hunts. It looks like a pelican yak, but I could be wrong. They are nice though, that is what I am going to get next.

Yeah its a Pelican Castaway, 13 footer. I got it over the split wish i would have got it years ago. You really cany beat it when ur hunting water thats shallow where a boat is overkill but wading is too much work.
