 fannin county varmint hunt

The Bois d'Arc chapter of the National Turkey Federation is having a the first annual varmint hunt. Reading of the rules starts feb 13 at 11 am hunt begins at 12 noon and weigh in is feb.14 at 12 noon. Up to 3 people in a team but all team members must be present at reading of the rules.
Hunt = $60
big dog = $10
big cat = $10

I'm in.
Seems, all of the sudden, I know a lot of new spots in a certain county starting with "F".
Some may call it poaching though.
Forum says "Veteran Tracker". I could not track a garbage truck into a fireworks factory.

I talk to one of the guys over the phone but he said they were putting up flyers this week. I will post more info when I get one.

Thanks for the heads up wild boar. May be busy that weekend.  Looks like that is about the only weekend we can get things all worked out for our annual volunteer fire department chile supper  and fund raising auction. Will have to see,  should know for sure some time later this week. Will let ya know.

I might be interested if anybody is needing a hunter. I offer spot on rifles, calls, decoys (if needed), some tournement experience, and ill buy the gas. No land though.

The reading of the rules and check in is going to be in Lamasco its north east of Bonham. I had a flyer and it had contact info on it but some how lost it, I'll try and get another one to post on here but the guy I got it from is hard to catch and lives and works on the other side of the county. I was told that they started posting flyers around and some have been posted in honeygrove.

February 13th - 14th 2010
registration/Rules: 11am on saturday the 13th
hunt begins at noon
check in: noon on sunday the 14th
registration and check in will both be at
502 CR 2275, Telephone, Texas(cr 2275 is north of esthers cafe in lamasco tx. off of fm 1396)
all 3 team members must be at check in
3 man teams
$60 per team
$10 big coyote
$10 big bobcat
Pays 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
register in advance by contacting

or you may register on the day of the hunt
