Hey Cold Spring could you shoot me a copy of them when you get some? I am starting to build mine next month and would like to see some other peoples ideas to maybe improve mine. Thanks.

I have built several 4X6 stands and would recommend building it 6X6. The width is OK for 1 adult and 1 kiddo, or 2 adults but you have no room to stretch your lets out straight in front. Another foot or 2 would make all the difference in the world. It is far better than what I had but I am working on drawings for my new 6x8.

Also take a look at: http://deerstandplans.net/

We built a 4 x 8 this year and it was perfect for up to 3 adults all with high back swivel chairs.

If you keep your hair short and your mouth shut, things tend to run a lot smoother.

Any way I can get any of you with plans for a deer stand to PM me as well? I'm planning to build one myself and, like Smith611, want to compare other ideas to try and make mine better. I can provide an email to anyone if necessary. Thanks, guys!

Still hunting the old 4x4 the last 12 yrs. I think it has shrunk time for a new one this spring. I would love to build a larger stand, 6x6 maybe. If you would be so kind to email plans.

okietex, that works fine, but sometimes having a set of diagrams just gets things rolling. I'm not an artist, but I consider myself capable of following directions and using power tools. The things I've built following a sketch and some directions comes out FAR better than something I just start building.

It also helps when you aren't positive how you want it. Now that I've built a few from the plans I've given out, I've made a few modifications to better suit me (which I shared with those that asked for the plans), so the next one will be even better than the last ones.
