we headed down to the gulf near El Campo and all the places we hunt were frozen and we saw maybe 8 ducks on a 45 acre flooded cow pasture. no ducks on a 15 acre old flooded rice field. where are all the ducks? from teal season till thanksgiving we were seeing about 100-200 on every pond. theres alot more geese and we even saw about 6 greenheads and numerous flocks of canadas but virtually no ducks. have the freezing temps driven the teal and pintails very far south? or is it just all this rain has them spread out? didnt shoot one duck

Our hunt in North Texas was very slow today. Usually see a ton more birds, but not today.
I am beginning to think the birds have headed south, like waaaayyy south!

like laguna madre... and i thought i was south

Well I'm by corpus and we had very few birds today none shot and there was ice in the tide pools. I think the birds are mexico bound.
