My house and Allen Brothers prime ribeye, NY Strip, or Porterhouse seared over an open Mesquite fire and then cooked medium rare.

Also, if any of you are passing through Oklahoma City around lunch or dinner, try Cattlemens' Steak House down by the stock yards (south of I-40). Their lamb fries with a cold Shiner Bock for an appetizer and a salad with house dressing followed by any cut on the menu is very well worth the money.

If you have been to Cagle Steaks, and don't think its the best, I'd like to see that... apparently ya'll aint been there if you are choosing the yuppy dallasite places...they fail by comparison...

Here's a consolation prize, the Longhorn RV Park and Steakhouse between Crowell and Paducah is very good...

Four Winds off of Hwy 47 south of Wills Point. Very classy and a little pricey though.

I know I am a bit biased but that is my 2 cents!!

It's not biased, most of us can make a great steak. That's why I never go out for one. I eat out things I can't/won't make at home.

I like mine too, BUT outside of that it's still Cagle Steaks, then Longhorn (paducah/crowell)...

My favorites are to have some rib-eye's when the smoker is going... smoke them first just a bit, then marinate them over night, then finsih the on the grill the next night or later that evening...

There is no steak at costco's that will touch some of the places mentioned just due to those place own Dry Aging processes. now if you can buy dry aged beef and then cook it the way you want I would agree with you. But quailty beef is not Costco's. Now when the wifes not looking or in town take a trip to Central Market and pick up one of thier Dry Aged Bone in Ribeyes and you will understand what I'm talking about. I refuse to by beef from the supermarket, I get my sraight out of the feedlot and processed.. its a thrid of the price of the Supermarket and 10x better beef. Now the Central market dry aged steak are $$$$ but well worth.

I think you have not been to Costco lately!! They now carry some aged USDA PRIME. They only have it in NY Strip or Shell steak, but it ia only $10.99/lb. For the price it is pretty great!!

$7.99 Ribeye at Lehde's Meats in Bonham Texas will beat it...

1.49 filet from our pasture beats that... but I am out... so Lehde's it is...

IF you have not ever eaten at the Fort Griffin General Merahandise/Beehive in Albany you are misssing a real treat. Twice as good as the 50 dollar steaks at Three forks and all those type places.
