Going to freer Saturday night for a Sunday morning hunt. Heard it's to be a low 30's or high 20's this weekend. Is there normally alot of movement of animals during temps like this?

Should be as long as it is not going to be windy.

That's close enough for government work.

I know one thing, the WORST weather for deer hunting is fog. At least in West Texas where being able to see for long distance is a necessity. Hunting a 40 yard circle around your tripod sucks big time. And I had it happen to me several times this year.

Same here!

There were many mornings when I got up and went outside the trailer and turned around and went back to bed because the fog was so bad!

Cold and overcast seem to be the best days on my place. Windy days are the worst.

The best is when you can go...If you can go anytime, I like cold, damp, snowy, overcast days.

Colder the better IMO. Wish this cold front would have been here in November or December. Brutally cold weather would have likely pushed the bigger bucks into the wheat fields a bit earlier in the evening.

The weather that is miserable and makes you want to stay in bed is the best.

I'm not convinced the weather has anything to do with it But being there at the right place and right time makes all the difference. I've seen just as many deer on a warm day as I have on a bad weather day. For some reason it just seems to be real hunting when the elements are at its worst. LOL
Good luck and happy hunting.

A cloudy, overcast morning after an all-night rain when the temperature is anywhere between 40-50 degrees.

Deer should move down in S. Texas regardless of weather this time of year. Freeze has hit a month ago so if they aren't hitting corn, you got no deer.

deer dont want to move when its to cold cause they risk losing to much body heat. there is alot of misconception that the colder the better. deer will actually move at the warmest time of a cold day to feed. the only time they will move it is freezing is if it has been consitently cold for a couple of days. so this weekend could actually be really good.
