I posted something like this not too long ago but thought I would try again.

I do not want to go to a day lease or guided hunt Etc. I'm looking for someone who owns land and would not mind letting me pay to hunt hogs in the off season. The closer to Austin the better but I will drive up to 2-3 hours if there are plenty of pigs. I'm a non-drinker (not that I think it's wrong, I just do not like it) very responsible hunter.

I can pay cash or trade by taking you on trophy catfishing trips. We can meet first with no obligation Etc. I know sometimes I get leary thinking about the crazies that roam the internet LOL.

Since I have 2 friends now that are also looking I may be able to swing a deer/hog lease if it's a good price.

Tim

If anyone is interested in the catfishing it will be 2-3 months before it gets good.

Here are a few pictures. I have not updated them in a long time though.

I'm not a guide. Just do it for fun.

BigCAt, I hope you dont mind that I piggybacked your thread.I am a new member to the THf. I have lived in Harris County now for close to 4 years and have yet to find a place to hunt, fish, or just get outside a shoot a few rounds. I am from South louisiana and have grown up with the luxury of having quite a bit of public and private hunting at my disposal. I am a Wildlife Biologist and truly love the outdoors at evry moment I cam. Was wondering if there was a few wise people that could push me in a direction to take out a few hogs or enjoy some local duck hunting (without paying an amrm and a leg). Thanks to any suggestions you have for I know this is a vague question that a lot of people are faced with.

Hey drake first welcome to THF. Just a hint next time you may want to put your introduction/looking for hunt in a new thread in stead of asking the same thing this guy asked in his thread. Nothing wrong with it really just if You asked someones for a deer hunt and a guy replied saying I got one more hunt left till season is over then another guy comes on and asks the same thing. it just may not seem right. Not basking you just a little hint since you new well heck i'm still kind of new myself. but if you have any questions you can ask me or anybody else.

It's cool. Maybe someone can get us both on a lease LOL.

I have money BTW, I just do not want to go to a day lease. And I do not care to drop $1500 for a deer lease. Now if there was a deer lease close to me WITH lots of hogs I could part with $1500 maybe..

I'm with you. I dont mind paying for a lease. Im looking for a place to hunt, fish, shoot, or just kick back. Day leases are just a temporary solution to a problem not yet solved. Figured now would be the time to get a jump on next year.
