Iam looking for someone with rabbit dogs that would like to come hunt on our place its 2200 acrs in east texas I have a beagle that i would like to run with your dogs,I have never been and would like to learn how to do it, we have plenty of rabbits if anybody wants to go Thanks Jarrod

I know some people that run the crap out of some rabbits,
and have some pretty good dogs, i will let them know about you and see what they say

I rabbit hunt quite a bit...but I walk them up... gotta be quick when doing this... I will be buying beagles very soon. Would love to come clear out some of those little powder tails.

i hunt in the LBJ grasslands with my buddy we run 4 to 5 beagles and we would be happy to help you train your dog

Just a question...how old is your beagle? If it's over a year it may or may not start. But who knows until you take him out. I used to take mine out with their mothers as soon as they could keep up with me. I'd also ride them around in the truck with me,and whenever I'd see a rabbit on the side of a backroad, I'd turn em out on it and let em trail it as far as they could. I had a field trial dog that would WALK a track all day and not go 100 yards. She started my young dogs and they learned to actually run the track and not just fly through the woods barking just because the others are barking. You gotta be careful with that. Now the guys on here who "gun" their dogs, like me have some serious @#$%. They're probably not the best option for starting an unstarted dog, cause he'll be trying to keep up with those high rollers and not really know whats going on. But take him anyway and take him as often as you can. Get you three "stompin down good ones", and you'll never want to hunt anything else.
