Does anyone reload this cartridge? I tried several years ago but the cases kept getting stuck on the resizer and I'd have to destroy the case to get it off. Any suggestions as it's getting harder to find bulk packs of WWB ammo. Thanks in advance.

I do and I have never had any problems with them getting stuck, just make sure you are using the right dies, keep the brass clean, and make sure to lube the casings porperly.

Yep, make sure the die is clean, very clean, and lube the cases properly. Everything should work fine. If not, try a different set of dies.

I have never had to clean mine, they just work. I keep the brass clean, which in turn keeps the dies clean. Go through and make sure you are using the proper dies, cases, and that the dies are properly adjusted(use the instructions provided with the dies). Hope this helps One more thing, if all of this doesnt work I would return the dies for another set.

I use brake cleaner and a small nylon bottle brush on mine about once a year, and coat them with a thin layer of oil when done. I do this to remove any lube build-up mainly. I've never had a problem with a dirty die, but was told by my reloading guru to take good care of them from the start. I also have many sets of RCBS dies, and all work great. What are you lubing with? I use vegetable oil myself. I just coat my fingers with it and rub the shell down before it goes in the shell holder. If you use too much of any lube it will dimple the shoulder of the case, so look for that too. My only suggestion at this point is to try a different lube. Or keep putting more on the case until it dimples the shoulder then back off some.

Just by chance are you using military surplus brass? I've seen this happen with the surplus stuff not that is not good brass. Military brass is heavier walled than commercial stuff. You can tell by looking at the head stamp whether its millitary or regular 223 ammo. As with any ammo automatic weapons really stretch brass. I think the solution would be to ream the necks, and then turn the outside of the necks or just discard the brass and start over. How many times has this brass been loaded, even brass has a limit to how many times its been loaded. Something else you might try is to shine a light down the brass and if you see 3 holes 1 large flash hole and 2 smaller holes on each side its a Berden primer and you have to have a special tool to remove those.

Just useing WWB brass and case lube I bought from McClellands on Centerville. What would happen was the primer removel pin would get jammed in the bottom of the case and I'd have to knock the case off the pin and that would mess it up.

To deprime get you a universal depriming die. It has a stronger pin and deprimes only. I dont think 5.56mm/.223 was ever berdan primed? Stopped berdan priming around 1952? Any body know for sure?
Clean the inside of dies as needed and polish inside of die lightly with steel wool on sick, or 800 grit carbide paper. Lightly lube inside of die with Q-tip before sizing. Make sure cases are clean before resizing! Try different lubes to see what works best. Use brush and lightly lube inside of neck. Tumble after sizing to remove lube. Yes get you a stuck case remover or make one easily! Good luck!

Maybe the roll crimp on the primer was over rolled. I've also run across some with this problem.

1-You make it sound like case sticking when resizing

Sorry but-Best to figure out which your problem is first. Remove the pin and neck sizing ball and try sizing. This will tell you which is causing problem???? 1-case sticking when resizing. 2-depriming pin sticking in flash hole. Then you can narrow down cause.
If sizer deprimer rod is bent call RCBS and they will warranty and send you a new one in the mail No?

I keep my .223 cases even though I don't reload. I notice that brown bear brass cases look fatter with a smaller neck than LC brass or factory brass. Can you still reload this stuff?

If it's brass, and boxer primed (which it probably is) yes, it is reloadable.
