I am new to bow hunting. Just wondering at what distance I should set my sights for hog hunting. Any info would be appreciated.

Well, I'm a little different than most for a reason. I set my pins at 23, 33 and 43yds. My reasons are from too many in between targets when I was shooting comp. I still set them that way and haven't shot comp for about 12yrs. I still shoot the same bow and sights. So if it works why change it?

Another thing to think about is how far is the pin gap between the first and second pin? If it is pretty far you might be best to set the first at 20 and the 2nd at 25 and so on. It all depends on the bow IMO.

Truth be known though, I don't like more than 1 pin. I shoot with the HHA and have it set all the way out to 60 yards.

I shoot the Apex single pin. Very tuff, but smooth to move.
Set at 20,30,40,50,60,70,80
Practice at 40-60 mostly.
This is mounted on a DXT 29"70# bow

I have always wondered this about single pin sights. How do you "adjust" it for different yardages? I mean, it's set on 1 yardage since it's a single pin, so I don't understand how this occurs.
