if you hunt from the truck corded is the only way to go. cyclops makes great lights. i have one in 2.5 mil candle power thats awesome. I always have a hand-held rechargeable 2 mil power for if i have to get out. Battery powered lights do not last long, so they are only good for checking a spot or getting out for a bit. You can keep them on long. If you want to have a light on your gun primos makes great varmint lights. Academy, bass pro and cabelas will have all of the above for you. Good luck!

Agree with the Cyclops corded spotlight. I bought one last week and all the guys were very impressed. Very bright, even with the red lens on. One nice feature is it uses H3 bulbs that are available at auto parts stores. Here's the one I bought. The seller is right here in Texas. They seem to be discontinued in the retail stores as all the ones I checked online were sold out. We used it for several hours off and on in a blind with a 12 volt "Hoverround" battery and it barely put a dent in the charge. I'm betting a 12 volt feeder battery would work just fine for a couple hours of non-constant use.

Light force!!! Youll pay 100+ for one but they will last you forever and they are lighter then any I've held.

well things is i can't always have it plugged in, was really looking for something that didn't need to be plugged in, but thanks for the help will definitly consider QBeam If I am hunting from a stand or something, I haul a battery with me. The rechargeables I have used go out so quick it is pointless having one IMO.

Binkman Max Million III rechargeable at Wally World. Costs less than $40 bucks, comes with 3 lenses, is rechargeable AND you can run it off the car battery either while charging or without the battery. Rechargeables used to say you couldn't use them while charging but this one you can. The one I bought came with 2 batteries...each last 30 minutes when fully charged. Only drawback is that it is pretty heavy.

I like the Black and Decker ones. All you have to do is plug an extension cord into the back of it, don't have to worry about keeping up with a plug. 1 million to 2 million ones.
