Can a Texas resident purchase a pistol in New Mexico? Either from a store or an individual? Thanks

Not sure of the New Mexico laws. There are a few states that don't allow non-residents to purchase guns in their state.
Why not buy it here if new??
If you can get the ffl in NM to send it to another ffl here in Texas and buy it from them. That would be an option if it is used.

I have been to every store and gun shop in Lubbock and really having a hard time finding what I want for what I would like to spend? I am going to NM for a day trip and just thought if I ran across something I would like to be prepared.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think if you buy a hangun out of state, you have to ship it to a FFL in TX. Essentially the same principle as ordering one online.
