Hey guys lets see youre mode of transport to and from the spot, I dont care if it rolls or floats post a pic...buggys, mud boats, wheelers whatever, especially if youve modified it. I use this boat 90% of the time...if not it then a borrowed four wheeler to hunt the rice fields, wich isnt too often, Ill get some better pics of it this eve with a real camera....On this boat i added the float boxes, jackplate, and alum floor in the boat. The motor was a stock 40hp, i added 60hp carbs, lightened the flywheel, modified the exhaust tuner and reed block and had my prop repitched and cupped pretty heavy to run a pretty high engine height

Here's what I use most of the time. If not then I have to rely on my legs. My brother has a 16' flatbottom that we use when I'm in the DFW area. No real good pics of it though other than this one.

The hull is a weldbuilt...its not really a heavy duty hull but it's built lighter than most of them, i had a fab shop near my house add the boxes, you cant tell when its in the water but we angled the bottom of them so the rear edge doesnt touch the water when youre running full trim, most people just run them straight and it will kill your speed and they will catch water when youre turning...just something to think about. The other morning we were running with two of us, a dog and six dozen deeks and the gps showed 44 mph, Just like any other boat the bottom has a lot to do with how shallow you can run, most of the marsh we run has a pretty soft bottom...this boat will easliy run in 6-8 inches of water on top of soft mud...but to get up from a dead stop it will take prolly 18-20 inches

I can run in 6-8" of water already. Dang 44mph is pretty good. It's not very often that a motor run it's HP in MPH. My boat does about 35 with 3-4 ppl and gear and about 37-38 with 1-2 ppl no gear.

Moose I think you should still consider a jack plate! That alone will make a world of a difference
