This deer has been on our game cam for a while and I've been excited to get a shot at it.
Unfortunately, it was wounded in the right front leg/shoulder by a guy who took a shot at it running at 200 yards.
I don't know if he thought he wouldn't get another chance or what cause he's been on our game cam every week.
Anyway, he's getting skinnier each time we see him on the cam and will probably just die in the pasture somewhere of infection.
What a waste...

powder the area he's being seen in with jello powder and camp out all day long. hes going to be looking for food and attractants will give you a "shot" at him.

Hopefully he will make it they are tough animals. Uncle had one show up at his backyard this year with a cross bow arrow under his spine in front of his hip. the buck continued to try to pull it out with his mouth. he would try rubbing on trees to get it out. Uncle called thought he needed to be shot I told him to watch him for a couple of days. It took about a week for the buck to get it out looked infected swollen but he seems to be doing fine now(big scar). The buck you are watching could be losing weight because he is still running does have seen that before as well.

there's a creek bed that runs through the property that has some water in it and plenty of salt cedar and mesquite for cover.

Sit on that stand and kill him. Locate the direction he comes from and watch that area if he isn't coming in until dark. Hate to see a trophy lost that way.

They are rutting like crazy still, went down this weekend and never saw a one.

I say do what you got to do to take him. Hate to see him suffer a long time bc some dumbarse

If nothing else look for buzzards and maybe you'll at least find him and get the rack.

That sux, he does look skinny for his age. Doubt I'd be hunting with that guy anymore.
