We take a 3" diameter pvc pipe about 4 fee long. Drill holes in it and cap the ends with a screw off on one end. Fill full of corn, hog wild, and some lava rocks and screw a chain and t-post it down. They will kick that thing around, and the bucks will beat it up...

Yeah, my dad used to do that. They do actually come and kick the mess out of those bottles. It works, and I'm all about cheap deer feeders! And they are extremely portable as well.

Make sure it is glass and not plastic. The plastic won't hold up around hogs. I've tried the PVC in sewer pipe. It works pretty well.

Well I meant for deer even though most places are seeing lots of hogs. I do not put cap on and punch no holes in it. I let it come out of the lid. Although I guess it really dont matter.

If anyone tried this for the first time after reading this tread give us update on sucesses!

I can attest that I have feeders and I have a place I bait by just pouring on the ground a bag of corn every two days and the poured corn has triple the bucks on camera!!! Just food for thought. Although its not feezable for people to do without feeders because of driving distance I hunt accross the street on 800acres and make a 4 wheeler drive about 1/2 mile from house and I keep this routine up and wont hunt my feeders!

I've seen those, but they had a rope tied around the neck of the bottle and the other end of the rope tied to a tree. Basically just to keep in in the same place. The ones we saw were placed by poachers on a lease we used to be on.

We used the 2 liter bottles for about 20 years. Then someone posted this on THF. Easier to fill and they work.
