I am thinking about investing in some GHG prograde Widgeon/Mallard decoys. I am sure most of you have seen them before, if not here is a link

http://store.rogerssportinggoods.com/servlet/-strse-1762/Avery%2C-Greenhead-Gear%2C-GHG%2C/Detail

I was wondering if anyone has used these decoys or anything else that might look this realistic and what difference did they make. They look so lifelike, I can' imagine them not making a huge difference. I thinkg I am going to get rid of the rest of my decoys and switch to about 18 of these.

What have you guys seen or heard about how they work?

i have the pro grade woodies and gwt. they look amazing out of the box. the paint on my woodies is already starting to chip off, but nothing drastic. I think they are well worth the price, because they dont really cost much more than the regular grade GHG.

I have been hunting with them this year, don't know if they have really made a difference, but I sure do like the way they look!

I killed alot of ducks over cheapo Flambeau deeks, but I really like having the nicer ones.

Decoy's and Camo are designed to appeal to the hunter, not what you hunt grin

I have the widgeon and GWT. Haven't used them yet. Plan on getting the mallards and BWT as well. I have some custom decoys in some of the same positions and now I can use the plastic ones instead.

Ive got the mallards and green wings, the paint has chipped some, but thats expected with as much as I hunt. Kinda like getting a few scratches on a work truck.

I really like the pro grades, and Ive got the widgeon and woodies on my Christmas list.

Yeah, the Widgeon have me very excited. They have 3 different kinds of mallards though, active, resting and feeding. Each different type of mallard has different poses.

I wish they would sell a whole dozen that was mixed instead of forcing you to buy 18 to get all types. I really don't want more than about a half dozen mallard, but dont want to have all of one kind

I got the surface feeders and the active mallards, they are nice.

If I wanted resters I would just get some hotbuys.

I bought the teal feeder pack from Mack's, they are nice, ended up with a dozen Woodies, 2 dozen of the Green Wing Teal, and a dozen of the Widgeon. I must admit they are great looking dekes and hard to beat for the money. They have been on 30+ hunts between me and the group and still look new. I use slotted bags, because I very seldom carry more than a dozen, usually 6 is about all I put out.
