Does anyone have a report on the Cotton Center Pheasant Hunt? I have a friend who went and paid his money. He was very disappointed in the hunt. Said everyone was given maps to all the land they could hunt, this is a fundraiser. Said alot of the land that was on the maps was stipped out cotton fields. Said he would not go back and was very disappointed?

Anyone else have a report?

Can't report on the hunt cause I didn't participate this year but they normaly have ample places to hunt (that aren't cotton fields). Sorry to hear that he had a bad experience. I know I've gotten reports of solid bird numbers so it sounds like the lack of suitable hunting habitat was the problem.

We did a Lions Club hunt out of Hart many years ago and it was the same thing. Of all the fields, 75% of them were stripped bare. Never went back. It is a great concept but you would think they could verify the fields first before they put them all on the map, and you really have no way of knowing until you show up.

Went on the cotton center hunt last season, was very disappointed. Had a guy with us with access to some private land that saved the hunt. I'll pass on it for the future.
