http://www.pgc.state.pa.us/pgc/lib/pgc/deer/pdf/Where_does_the_buck_stop.pdf----------This is the web page that shows 1 study of many done by the PGC .There are many other collared transmitter studies as well and they are all interesting reading.After Researching this subject I found many studies that prove bucks will travel as far as 40 miles away in a month .Texas studies showed the bucks traveled more in open country like West Texas and North but even in hill country they will travel 10 to 12 miles away in one week and may return the next. Makes you wonder just how smart are these rascals

ive read several of pgc studies before, pretty cool info, they did one on rattling bucks some timeback, good info!

Amazing how many of these studies show bucks moving ten to fifteen miles away and back in a 24 hour period. Even funnier is how close some of the study deer travel by hunters and are never seen.
