PSE Omen is the fastest now I think.

Speed is not everything. Sold my Monster XLR8 and got the new Mathews Z7 on order. Different strokes for different folks.

I don't know about that. With that waffle riser, I'm sure the deer will smell it first.

When you look at speed, you really cant go off IBO's.

My Reezen has NEVER shot anywhere near 340 fps. But I really dont care. It fits me like a glove. As does the Z7. Both are quite and smooth, and pretty damn fast.

When you have a 26.5" draw length the speed question is not such a sell. Give me a relatively fast, quiet and forgiving bow. For now it is my old Mathews LX. Who knows what I'll upgrade to.

Pigeon Road down in Stephenville had an Omen that chronographed 371fps. But, on the down side, they couldn't get it to paper tune.

Saw a HCA speedmax in action today. That thing is flaming fast.


Might look into getting one of them. There was a time, I laid many animals to waste with an old HCA maxforce.

Speed is good, but for hunting you need a quite bow that is forgiving and has good velocity for penetration. My Mission with a 400 grain arrow shot 286 on the chronograph. I have a short pull so i can't get much faster. I get real good penetration with my set up and that is what i'm after.

I'm not sure who is the fastest out there though. A guy i was shooting with was putting a little over 340 with his monster. Other than that i don't look at speed too much.

The Monster is about 6 fps faster than the Omen, according to bowsite.com. Yall forgetting about HCA bows. I have a Monster and an Iron Mace and both bows are crazy fast. I've shot 373 fps with HCA Speed Pro arrows. If any goes to Smithfileds, ask Stan about those boys who come in there with Iron Maces and Speed Pros shooting in the 390's. Also, APA makes a bow called the King Cobra that boosts an IMO speed in the 360's.
