Sounds like you guys are doing very good this season. I myself killed 16 so far, not counting birds that everybody in my group shot at. I'm looking forward to getting alot more during Christmas break(almost a month for us college students!!).

WE will kill about 200 to 250 every year, have for the past 10 for sure. But so far it has been pretty good with limit or near limit each time for at least 3... We have about 70 in my log so far, but we really do not start duck hunting hard until everybody has shot a deer. I anticipate hunting from the 22nd of Dec every day until Jan 2nd or 3rd....then most every weekend in January for sure and we have a couple of big hunts where 6 of us go for three days. With all the water and flooded fields, we just need a couple more cool snaps or cold fronts really and we may top 250 easily.

Anybody in the DFW area seeing any pintails..say within 100 miles either way? Last year we were covered up with them early and had to watch them, but when the season opened for them they were gone and we only got a few late in the season. I have not seen a one yet! Which is not the norm.

Only seen about 40 within 100 miles of the metroplex

I'm sure they'll be down here by "harvest" time

Most of the guys I hunt with/talk with have not been seeing very many anywhere across the state.

I've been 4 times and had limits each time. Mixed puddle ducks.....a little more gadwalls than the rest. I heard some pintails opening morning, since then I haven't seen or heard any. It's still to warm up north. It was 41 dergees in Detriot yesterday. They need some freezing temp. to put them on the move.

Bradbury, we've seen a few this year early, maybe as many as 20. One thing we've seen more of this year in my opinion is the number of mergansers. I wish we'd get an artic blast so when can see those buffle heads, golden eyes, and more big green heads. As far as numbers go this year approx. 50

The only buffleheads I have seen have been late in the season, seems like we alway kill two or three. We see lots of mergansers late as well.

I have only seen two goldeneyes up in my neck of the woods..One in Graham....and one in Jacksboro...other then that I have seen them only at the coast and never ever got one...

We were fishing on the coast this past weekend, and were absolutely run over with buffleheads and golden eyes.

Both are pretty ducks. Hope the split is just as good as the first part of the season. Heck it's nice just to see the number of waterfowl we've seen so far this year, compared to the last two seasons. Now if we'd just get goosed

Checked my logs today. Total of 62 ducks,2 Mergansers, and 1 Snow.
Majority of birds are Greys, Wigeons, and Teal. Can't wait until the Mallards show up at my spots.

Already over the half way from what was shot last year. Last years count was 107 ducks and 1 Canada goose.
