This boat is owned by my wife's uncle. it was just sitting there doing nothing so I said "Hey that's a shallow water boat, how about letting me use it for duck hunting since you're not using it". He said "Go ahead". I built the blind last year but never had the chance to paint the boat. That's what the split is for...right?

I should say that I'm not detail oriented or patient when it comes to things like this so as camo paint jobs go this one could be alot better but I kept telling myself "It's just a duck boat" and barreled ahead. Most important to me is that it's not white anymore and as you can see from the blind pic, I really only care about the bottom 12" on the side of the boat and the strip between the blind rails because that's all the ducks will see outside the grass.

OPEN, OPEN, OPEN...come on Saturday!

Man, that looks good to me. I don't think the ducks will mind even if you did cut a few corners. up

Looks awesome!!! Now the only thing left to do is bring it north of the Red River and take your little brother hunting in it. After all he has been instrumental in giving you your first "hit" of duck hunting and assisting in feeding the addiction over the last few years. Are you still working on a kitchen pass for the weekend of the 18th at Dwight's?

that look's great!

I would say that you added quite a bit of value to that old white boat. Be careful, your wife's uncle will sell it!

I'm ready when you are and yes still navigating the kitchen pass approval system. Its really all about timing of your submittal. If you submit at the wrong time its a sure fire rejection which it is right now. It'll probably be a "week of" decision.

I've been assured "right of first refusal" if it needs to be sold. I'm hoping one day it just becomes a gift.

Thanks. I wanted to but it didn't work that well (OLD 12V) and would have gotten in the way of the blind.

Thanks. I think we've got 'em located for this weekend. Thanks for posting yours and the info.

It's a terrain phantom stencil set. It's three stencils that you do in layers. Very easy.

What water are you thinking of where we'd need a boat?

I'm thinking of painting my bass boat camo, what preparation did you have to do before painting? It's a little old, got some flake coming through.

As I said, I'm not very patient so I just power washed it, masked it off and painted. You may need more depending on the quality of your boat.

Boston Whalers are awesome boats. It looks good to me!

It will look even better parked in the driveway while you're killing Canadas and ducks behind your house!!!!!!
