Expecting 1 inch of snow on the ground in Brady. I WISH I could be out there. Of all the weekends for my wife to go visit her sister in Scottsdale and leave me with kid duty. I think it will be a great day.

Be heading down tomorrow night, looking forward to the cold weather, opening weekend was way too hot.

We're heading to Brady tonight! Woohoooo! I've always wanted to hunt in the snow, hope it happens! Expecting 1 inch of snow on the ground in Brady. I WISH I could be out there. Of all the weekends for my wife to go visit her sister in Scottsdale and leave me with kid duty. I think it will be a great day.

I hunted in the snow yesterday morning, it melted by noon, but I hunted all day. Saw a ton of deer, but no good bucks.
Wish I could do it tomorrow, but isn't looking likely. Saturday morning may be the only time I can go get in the stand.

I seldom see too much in terribly cold weather. These "tropical" TX deer seem to be better suited for warmer temperatures, just like us.
That said, I'll be in the stand all day on Saturday...

Not tomorrow, but all day Sat. Mostly concerned about the 1" of snow we are forecasted to get on Friday melting, then refreezing on Saturday morning.
Any of y'all out there traveling to your leases be careful while you're driving!!

I was out this morning and plan to go out tomorrow as well. The moon has the deer moving mid day but the weather is making them move in and feed. Friday should be a good day to sit in the blind all day. Or at least be there mid day 11:00am - 3:00pm. Good luck!

Driving to West Texas tonight after work. Looking at about 2 inches of snow in the forecast. Last time I hunted in the snow, it was great. Lots of movement all day long.
Silver spurs and gold tequila keep me hanging on. Pretty girls and old cantinas give me shelter from the storm.

Between 10-12 should be good tomorrow. Full moon will have them moving all night long. Assuming they bed down around 5, then 10 should be good activity.
Well, what I mean by that, sir, is... if you was to put me and this here sniper rifle anywhere up to and including one mile of Adolf Hitler with a clear line of sight, sir... pack your bags, fellas, war's over. Amen.--SPR[image]

I'll be hunting the wkd hopefully the cold temps and snow friday will have them on a feeding pattern. I'll be hunting my feeder/turnip plot. Last time it snowed down south I had a ton of deer coming to the feeder and shot a nice 9 pt right at dark. Young but it was snowing and tough to judge age plus it was the biggest for me at the time and just cool to take one in the snow for southern Texas.
