I saw a thing for the hunting club an how you can be a field tester an keep everything you test. But it says first month free an then after that its only $1 a month. It sounds like theres a catch some where to me. Does any one know anything about it? Is it worth it, and is it really only $1 a month?

then they won't leave you alone after that. Every month I get a renewal letter with more free junk in it. How many little note pads does one need? Geez.

Well, what I mean by that, sir, is... if you was to put me and this here sniper rifle anywhere up to and including one mile of Adolf Hitler with a clear line of sight, sir... pack your bags, fellas, war's over. Amen.--SPR[image]

I tested a nikon scope for them and got to keep it. I think there magazine is great and I really did get to test something. Also, if your a member, to test stuff you must fill out that card they send you with your membership package, then send it in. Or I think you can do it online. I think it lets them know what items you might be good at testing. I also used to be a member of their north american fishing club, they sent me a fortress anchor to test out, and keep of course. I never saw if they used my stuff in the magazine, but it was cool get something for free.

My bro-in-law got a cool little LED lantern to test. It works great and lasts for ever on a set of batteries. I never got anything to test. I gave 'em up several years ago. They still send me prospect packages trying to get me to sign back up.

I have been a member for several years then went life member way back when.
All I have ever got to test was , camo duct tape, hand warmers, field wipes for a gun, some kind of spice mix for chicken and thats it.
Even got a letter from them once saying I needed to turn in my field test report, well a few days later I got a letter saying my test product was on the way.
Got nothing, called and talked to them and they swore I got it.
Have asked several times what a member has to do to get something like the bows or other neat stuff to test and how many years before you were sent the good stuff.
Was told it was all based on your info when you filled out the test packet.
Anyway, after almost 15 years all I ever got to test was stuff I can get at any sporting goods store or wally world.

if you sign up for 1$ a month the magazine is worth that, i like their mag alot, its got some good articles and its not just ads like most are now, but dont expect free stuff, never has happened to me, they do send you a lot of junk mail and you will get them stupid books that you gotta refuse shipment on or it will become a hassle, and sometimes you get some coins, or you used to, my boys like the coins but yes for a buck a month you do get a pretty good read of a mag, buts lots of nonsense to go along with it, i did their fishing one for a while too, just got tired of having to return all the crud they send out LOL

They sent me a cook book, said if i like it i could send them $ and keep it or return it and owe nothing, so i returned it and told them not to send any more deals like that. Well they sent me another one, and then started sending me bills for the book. I called them and told them their business practices were unacceptable and remove me from their mailing list and i didn't want anymore dealings with them. Been lucky so far.

I did the North American Fishing Club thing and it was a joke and waste of $12(one years dues). The stuff they send you to test is little junky stuff. They sent me some swivels and hooks. It might have been worth $1 retail. They will also send you books that you have to send back or they bill you for them. Then you will get 50 renewal notices. My opinion is to stay far away!!!

I had a one year subscription to bowhunter magazine that was only $7. They sent me a greatest hits video and said "if I liked it, then send $12" well I watched it, decided I didn't think it was worth me sending them $12 and they never sent me anything again, other than a subscription renewal letter.
