First off, thanks so much to Jason, Bobby, and Cody for another great time. These guys and their families are salt of the earth, great people. Favorite quotes: "Dude, how many do you think are floating out there?" "Man, decoys work good." "If he can make a duck taste good, I'll kiss your arse on the courthouse lawn." Thursday night Friday morning (Full 3 man limit by 8:00)   Jason and Me  Bobby and Me  Saturday (16 total, easy limit but we were bored with gadwalls and widgeons)   Deer Hunting (They kept calling me Barney the deer hunter because I drank too much beer and had to get out of the stand to piss twice in like 30 minutes, ha ha)  Sunday(West Texas renegade tank busting, notice we picked up a new hunting partner, Cody)   It was a bang up time, I can't wait to get these guys their wood ducks at my place. Might have to make another run out there when the green gets thick. Thanks again fellas!

The greenhead from this morning is a hoss.
He and his old lady are in Jason's freezer headed to the taxidermist. Flying mounts, I think he said.
They are coming out to my ranch in December or January to get wood ducks for the wall.

That is AWESOME!!! Looks like y'all had a great time. You said you were mad at them ducks and by golly you didn't give'em any mercy this weekend. I love it! Congrats guys...still no ducks up here, in any numbers anyway.

That was a good weekend, lots of fun and good company. Wish we could have picked up some better ducks but hey we will work with what we got!!!

On Saturday we decided to stop a few birds short of our limit and go look at other ponds to find more mallards. We left the decoys out and piled the birds next to the blind so we could come back and pick everything up at the same time. I'd say we were gone an hour. When we came back, there was a redtail hawk snacking on a gadwall. He was pissed when we showed back up.....

I would say that is a great weekend. I had a neighborhood cat try to get one of my ducks.
I was saving the feathers, and my retriever liberated them all. My wife was laughing, and what are you going to say?
