Hi, I'm new to this board. I am getting into duck and goose hunting, and was wodering if anyone has any input on the Mossberg 835 ulti-mag and/or the charles daly? Both are priced reasonably, which fits my budget, or if anyone has an opinion of a coparible shotgun, I'll be glad to hear. Thanks.

The Charles Daly isnt bad for the price. Just have to shoot heavy loads. Dove/quail loads seem to jam a lot...

mossbergs are very good guns cant go wrong with one IMO

Thanks, I went with the Daly. I've shot about a box through them already, and thus far I've been pleased. The recoil is a little bit more than my old wingmaster, but not nearly enough to discourage. And for the price, it is a pretty good bargain. A buddy of mine just got the moss 935, and his had problems ejecting the dove loads 2 3/4". Thanks for the input guys. I think I will keep my eye open for any good deals for a moss as a good back up.

My Mossberg 835 ulti mag has been my all around gun i hunt with. I havent heard to many things about the Charles Daly. But Glad you are happy.
