Give Rody a call Bryan. Rody has inlaws that live up there and they hunt up there every year. He may be able to give you some advice.

Choose an area you want to hunt and look at their hunting atlas. It shows every piece of public land. Find an area with plenty of land in the area. We usually hit 5-6 different tracks per day while up there.

Just an FYI Kansas "Regular Firearm" Deer season runs December 2 through December 13.
There is plenty of public land. I just returned from 5 days of hunting and will highlight what Stinkbelly said earlier, get the atlas and plan on hitting several spots each day. My dogs and I are new to pheasant hunting and not familiar with Kansas at all but we have found quite a few birds basically in the "exploring" mode.
The things that will destroy America are prosperity-at-any-price, peace-at-any-price, safety-first instead of duty-first, the love of soft living, and the get-rich-quick theory of life.

The place I go in just north of Concordia, about 4-5 miles north, it's a controlled hunt, but the owner has been planting pheasants for the past 18 years and year round, he now plants an average of 18,000 per year and he releases them every day, by now, you can't tell which birds are wild and which ones are not. The cool factor there is that the non-resident license for controlled hunt is $17 and there is NO BAG LIMIT, so every time my boy and I go, we hunt only 1 day and come back with 50+ birds, he gets $320 per person, per day and that includes, dogs, the dog handler/guide, lunch, coffee breaks with pastries and bird cleaning and individually packing them for you. If you want some information, let me know and I'll be glad to provide you with his contact information.

No problem.
You need to call Rod Zohn at (785)243-0428 Cell and (785)335-2887 Home, please be corteous and don't call past 8PM, he is a farmer and goes to bed early, I mean really early.
He is always pretty booked way ahead and advance, when you are planning on going with a short notice, during the week works best, you can almost always get a spot during the week when you don't have a booking way in advanced. Tell him that Pierre from Fort Worth referred you and that might make him fit you in any possible way he can with his schedule.
Good luck! Pierre

Also in Hooker Ok (the panhandle) Pheasant Ridge Hunting is a canned hunt it been a few years since I"ve been there but it was 178.00 for a day hunt. It was for 6 Pheasant and 4 Chuckers. It covered breakfast, lunch and your hunting licence and birds cleaned. 1-866-486-8637
