Has anyone seen a decrease in deer in the county or have you been seeing the same amount of deer.I have a buddy who has property in edwards co. 41 and snodgrass and are seeing the amount of deer they used to. last yr. average was about 12-20 deer per feeder ,this yr 4 deer total since opening weekend. What gives? Poachers?

I'm on the southern part of the county and we've seen a decrease in the quality of deer for sure, and actually a decrease in the quantity of does. I have a feeling this is all due to the "extreme drought" that dominated this region for over 6 months.

i think its about anywhere in west and south texas.. drought was tuff... weve seen a big decrease.. also during drought found lots of weak deer and dead deer.. it was bad the past 3 yrs.. our place is in mcmullen co..but also we have had late rain and lots of green in brush so that may contribute to not seeing them cause they are not coming to feeders...

I hunt in Edwards County near Carta Valley and we see 10+ deer a hunt easy, mostly being does. We dont usually count does because there are so many. It has always been this way while I have been there. Little bit of decrease in antler size but the numbers are still consistent

We are in Kinney Co.,similar conditions here. Poacher could never knock the numbers down that far. Drought and heat are the devil

I hunt southern Edwards near the Kinney County line. Our numbers are solid. I see around 20 whitetail per hunt and some axis mized in. The anter size is down some but not badly
