I've been seeing these posts show up and I'm kinda bored in the blind so I figured I'd start my own.

Right now its a little under 40degrees and I'm freezing cold. There are 2 does under the feeder, a lot slower than usual. I'm trying to get a big 8 that I passed up on saturday but after going back to school monday and looking at the mounts on the wall I think I may reconsider him.

Lol, good luck.

Well, what I mean by that, sir, is... if you was to put me and this here sniper rifle anywhere up to and including one mile of Adolf Hitler with a clear line of sight, sir... pack your bags, fellas, war's over. Amen.--SPR[image]

The two does just left. I never realized how difficult it is to use gloves with a blaxkberry.

You should've brought a hot jug of coffee with you. But then again there would be this bathroom issue later on. LOL That's the one reason I didn't go hunt this morning.... the cold. From your post and Spooniegirl's, sounds like I may have made the right decision.

Yeah it was way colder than I expexted this morning. I didn't see anything after the two does. It was an unusual day I usually see at least 10 deer at the feeder I was at. I'm gonna call it quits for now. I will try to resume later.

Now is when you need to sit Baylor. 10am to about 2pm. Big bucks don't like the cold anymore than we do. LOL.

You think so? It's too late now cause I already drove back into town to meet the girlfriend. I've never really hunted any other times than the early morning and afternoon, but I'll give it a shot to get the big one. I may try Friday cause I don't think the family would be too happy if I was hunting all day During thanksgiving.

I hunted last week for 3 days 8 miles west of Uvalde and saw fewer deer than I have seen in a long time. Hopefully the last freeze will change that. The deer don't have to move very far until the grass freezes and dies.

Gotta love the weatherman. I had the opposite happen. Forecast was for near freezing last weekend. I knew it was going to be a short day when I was already sweating by the time I made it to my blind!

You can always put more on, you can't always take more off....

I'm north of Uvalde just outside of campwood and I've been seeing alot of deer up till today, however I haven't seen any big bucks out like last year. So far I've just seen alot of young 8 points. I hope your right about the freeze and we start seeing more big bucks come into the feeder, I've started seeing bucks begin to run does one the property which is always a good sign.
