I was told my game camera wont flash at night bc I have a second generation card. What is a first generation or what are they talking about? Thanks for the help.

SD card shouldn't affect the flash. It's just memory for storage. If it isn't flashing it will be something in the camera itself, not the SD card.

If it's an older cam, try using a 1GB card. Sometimes older cams act up with 2GB and higher.

Most cams also have internal memory. Before spending money on a new card try the flash with the card out. And TX_Huntress is correct. Not sure why, but it is true.
