I just called and was informed that department was "gone" from basically every Bass Pro Shop. The gal on the phone didn't know why. Anyone know? Also any recommendations for gunsmiths around DFW? Thanks

Gander Mountain still has their gunsmiths. They are not cheap, but they are there. Since you are in the DFW area; you should try checking out the gunshow this weekend at Market Hall. There will be a ton of gunsmiths and dealers who can reccomend them set up.
