I was wondering why there isn't an actual visible boundary on a certain lake(obvious) to let hunters know what side there on(state line). I've seen quite a few maps and the google earth image, which doesnt really coincide, so its a little tough to distinguish if your good or not...Seems like they're just asking for people to brake the rules...and all it takes is a few buoys....Wonder how many people accidentally hunt the wrong side and get a ticket..

The river channels are pretty obvious in areas where most people hunt, or you can get all hunting licenses and not worry about it so much (unless the dates are different).

Or get a lifetime license when you lived in OK for 8 months, and then a texas after you have moved to texas! Haha. At least that's my story.

Why Texas gave up the land South of the Canadian river should be the real question.

I live on a border Lake and have hunted it since 1980. I know a bunch of folks that have gotten tickets for being in the wrong spot with the wrong license. If you dont know dont go. BTW Im running a Lowrance Global Map 5300 on My Center console and the boundry is spot on.

Yeah I think I'll just get a GPS..I wasn't thinking about breakin the rules, just dont see how the game warden would issue the ticket....would he take a chance to ask in the middle of the hunt, would he wait at the boat ramp 8 miles away....just really don't understand how they enforce it. I think they dont have markers on purpose because its a way of revenue....mostly because each state has different boating laws...

Everytime I was checked on the water it has been a Federal Game warden, State warden at the launch. I was check by both one morning, once on the water and again at the launch.
