This evening I had more deer moving around than any previous hunt. I had 7 does and 1 really big 10pt at my feeder the buck was still more interested in the corn than he was in the does. My wife is ready for tomorrow evening for a chance at the 10pt. I am 6 miles south of Dublin

Good luck with the 10pt. We hunt in Hico and opening weekend counted 10 different bucks with only two guys hunting in the stands. In the last two years we have only seen 3 bucks. What changed this year to have such a good crop?

Just got back from my place just south of Thurber. The only sign of rutting was a small 8pt that was bothering a doe, but he gave up quickly and went back to the corn. The biggest buck I saw was only interested in the feeder. So I guess it will be a little longer. I will be heading back down Friday after Thanksgiving. Hopefully the bucks will be moving around more. I was at least able to whack a nice big boar!!
