Anyone use doe or buck scent around this time? If so, to what degree, and what brand do you have most success with? Looking to get an edge this weekend and next. Thanks!

Well, what I mean by that, sir, is... if you was to put me and this here sniper rifle anywhere up to and including one mile of Adolf Hitler with a clear line of sight, sir... pack your bags, fellas, war's over. Amen.--SPR[image]

Will probably set out two or three wicks of SPECIAL GOLDEN ESTRUS this weekend....just to see what will happen. Usually doesn't get to "hot" till after Thanksgiving at my lease in Comanche!

I will use Tinks, but just be careful as you can rally over do it with these scents. It takes a very small amount of odor to permeate the woods and the bucks noses are on high alert right now.

We use our BioExtreme deer dirt more than anything else and it works really well. It comes from actual deer pens and has feces, urine, and all the other nice smelling stuff. It works better than anything else we have tried.

Worked on this guy..

I used to be a Tinks man, and it seemed to me that deer kinda went a lil farther out to avoid it...The first time I used Code Blue in the same area, I had a nice 8 point and several other bucks come in. Another scent that I will swear by is MoonFire. I had the second biggest buck I have ever seen on the hoof walk to every tree I had that stuff hanging in and touch his nose to the pad and just sniff it. I was doe only at that point and all I could do was sit there and shake...lol

What time do you usually put them out? Before daylight, daybreak, or when you get to your stand?

I always put mine up in the morning, while it's still dark. Leave em out, and refresh the next morning. Just dont over do it.

Stopped by Wal-Mart this morning and picked up the Code Blue doe urine and some wicks. I'll put them out in the morning and let you guys know how it goes. Thanks for the tip.

I may be going to Arkansas tomorrow to help a buddy eliminate a huge doe problem. Which for me, means eliminating my empty freezer problem!!!

I used code blue doe estrus last weekend. I had two smaller bucks right to where they were. They were loooking for that doe! I did not pull on anything but I am hoping to early next week, or after thanksgiving.

Yeah, I'm mainly after doe right now. I want to fill my doe tags before next week or we loose em. But if a spike or a legal ar steps out to smell that, I'm shootin!

Mitchdaddy not saying your way is wrong, however I don't advise leaving them out all night due to the fact that if a buck does happen to visit during the night while you have them out, he will then be wise to your little trick, thus making it more likely that he will change his routine thus knocking you out of a shot at him.
