Has anyone hunted the childress area. I need some reports

Tigger
If it isn't white it is not a birddog.

Lying is lying. Don't bitch about one doing it and condone another. That's called hypocrisy.

I've seen a lot of quail on our place, but we never hunt for them. I've stirred up several large coveys driving around there and there are always birds around all the deer feeders.

Picture removed.
clowns creep me out.

I received a reliable report from a friend that knows a man with a place near Estelline, in Hall county. This summer and early fall he saw a few (not a lot) of wild pheasants, maybe this years hatch in that area. I have received other reports of wild pheasants in the Brice and Lesley areas.
I was wondering if you have heard of or seen wild pheasants this year, around Childress county.

Opening weekend we hunted most of the day Saturday and got into 6 coveys. Sunday we pushed 8 and 3 on Monday am. East of town the coveys had half to 3/4 grown birds in them. Towards Tell all birds full size. Smallest covey was about 15 and biggest one had about 50 (maybe 2 coveys together). It was pretty dry and very hot. Much better numbers than last 2 years. We will hit it again at Thanksgiving and work it a little harder with maybe some cooler weather. It would have been easy to miss some coveys with the conditions after 11:00. Not many dog trailers in town.
